Singer Ariana Grande has sparked debate with an Instagram story aimed at supporters of President Donald Trump.
Grande shared a post questioning Trump’s policies and whether they have delivered the economic improvements his supporters expected.
The message asked Trump voters whether the President had fulfilled his promises about lowering insurance premiums, reducing grocery prices, and strengthening the economy.
It also challenged whether the proposed economic gains were worth the impact the new policies have had on immigrants, transgender people, and free speech.
“Has the widespread suffering of others paid off for you in the way he promised it would, or are you still waiting?” the post read. Grande had reshared it from LGBTQ+ activist Matt Bernstein.
Her repost quickly drew attention online. Ariana Grande is no stranger to controversy, having previously been outspoken about her activism and her criticism of President Donald Trump’s policies, especially those involving immigration and LGBTQ+ rights.
In June 2025, she reposted a message from Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio‑Cortez calling for Trump’s impeachment after he authorized a strike on Iran without congressional approval.
