Just days before the incident, Woods made his return to competitive golf for the first time since June 2024, appearing in the TGL finals. But on Friday, the 50‑year‑old golf legend was arrested following a car crash.
At around 2 p.m. local time, Woods was involved in a rollover accident on Jupiter Island, Florida, after his vehicle collided with a trailer. TMZ reported that he appeared to be “OK” afterward.
Police later confirmed that Woods tested negative on a breathalyzer, though officers noted signs of possible impairment. He was arrested after refusing a urinalysis test, leading to charges of DUI with property damage and refusal to comply with a lawful test. He was released later that day.
