Donald Trump’s support among his most devoted followers is slipping, and now a prominent MAGA loyalist has made a startling claim, saying the movement is “deader than dead.”
During his presidential campaign, Trump made several promises that many supporters feel have not been fulfilled. With vows to lower grocery prices and taxes, many believed he could deliver. At the same time, he pushed his “America First” message, insisting the U.S. would avoid new wars.
In his election night victory speech in November 2024, Trump declared, “I’m not going to start a war. I’m going to stop wars.”
During his inaugural address, he went even further in trying to present himself as a global peacemaker.
“We will measure our success not only by the battles we win but also by the wars that we end – and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never get into,” he said.
However, the reality has been different. Trump has overseen military operations in Venezuela, threatened to invade Greenland, and now U.S. troops could soon be deployed in Iran. Meanwhile, domestic prices continue to rise, and polling reflects widespread frustration.
MAGA loyalist criticizes Trump, says the movement is “dead”
Trump’s decision to enter a conflict in the Middle East has deeply divided the country — across Congress, the Senate, and the public. Even some of his strongest supporters have spoken out, including media personality Carrie Prejean Boller.
Appearing on Piers Morgan Uncensored, she sharply criticized Trump’s actions. A self-described “loyal supporter of the president for almost 20 years,” she said she has reached her breaking point.
“This goes back to when I was 21 years old and I was Miss California at the Miss USA pageant. And I’ve known him — I consider him a dear friend — and I will tell you right now, I do not recognize our president,” Prejean Boller said.
Seemingly referring to U.S. involvement in Iran alongside Israel, she continued, “I think that we are an occupied nation. I think that a foreign country has occupied our government. And we are seeing now that this president of the United States of America is being influenced by a foreign government.
“And MAGA, let me tell you right now, MAGA is dead. It is deader than dead. And Americans are furious. We do not recognize President Donald J. Trump anymore.”
“I thought MAGA was putting America first”
Prejean Boller previously wrote an open letter to Trump after she was accused of “hijacking” a hearing on antisemitism.
“I thought MAGA stood for defending Americans who speak their convictions without fear of punishment,” she wrote. “I thought MAGA was putting America first, not Israel. Today I struggle to recognize the movement you started.”
